    casino royale

    it's a very good bond movie from the excellent jackie chan-esque acrobatics in an early chase scene onward. the story does move quickly and i found myself a bit confused about who was doing what and why more than once. but i definately recommend it.
    on a side note, did anyone happen to see richard branson do a quick cameo? i thought maybe i saw him for a split second in an airport (having the metal dectector wand used on him). my brother-in-law said he thinks he saw a virgin airplane in the movie as well - which makes a branson cameo more likely i guess. but i can't be sure.

    Some of my friends have been to see it, and they really enjoyed it. On the whole I think that it has had good comments by most of the media. I'm hoping to see it soon!

    I'm a huge Bond fan. When I got a job with the phone company after I graduated, I got to pick my phone number and ended it with 007, hahaha.
    Great movie, the begining was action packed and it slowed down a bit, then wouldn't end. I was like OMG, F'en end already.

    I really enjoyed this movie. Too many Bond films lately seemed kind of silly to me. The harder edge of this James Bond was a breath of fresh air and I'm really looking forward to the next one. (The scars and bruises that lingered also made Bond seem more human than previous films, IMO.)

    <SPOILER ALERT.... sort of>

    My only complaint was that when they wanted you to think the movie was over you just KNEW it wasn't really over because otherwise they would have rolled the credits. The fact that the surprise didn't surprise was a little disappointing. Otherwise, I really loved the film.

    I really liked the movie, and REALLY like the tougher/rougher look and feel of this James Bond.

    The only thing that DID bother me, and it really bothered me in the last James Bond movie as well.... is seeing James fall in love and get his heart broken. Thats just not James Bond to me. I KNOW this was the "first" movie, and its supposed to teach us why/how he's so hard from that point forward.....but the last James Bond had the same friggin thing. James Bond is NOT supposed to be 'sensitive.' Doesn't fit.

    But that first chase scene was cool. That guy could RUN!!

    Great movie. Craig's Bond reminds me of Dalton's Bond. A tough, dark and gritty Bond. Much like Fleming's portrayal of how Bond really should act.

    I got the impression that was supposed to explain why he would never fall in love again with any of the future (past) Bond girls. Use them for the job, have fun, and then move on. Cold, harsh, but it kind of fits to me.
