I think Smith should retire after this season.

Yea, Rod has lost a step but he and Tom Nalen are the leaders of the Offense. Cutler also needs a veteran receiver who has been with the Broncos a long time (obviously Smith)

There comes a time for everything.

The time is now for Rod to take a back seat. After all, he maintains that he places the team above the individual.

Everybody gets benched eventually. #2 wide receivers, pizza spokespersons...oh, that's right, he's both.

Shanahan hasn't moved him up the depth chart, so I have to assume Marshall isn't there yet.

With BM's huge play at the end of the game last week, he's earned some consideration for more playing time, but still has to prove what he can do. One play does'nt govern a benching to a seasoned vetern who has contributed greatly to this team. Smith has lost a step, but still is one of the better route runners in the league. Throw BM in as a 3rd and this can make for an interesting rest of the season.
