    turner

i would rather see us trade a draft pick to chicago for one of their backs then see us go after an unproven back who has 6 carries a game for 40 yards against a worn out defense

Turner takes a beating and keeps going. Turner isnít well known to the general public, but the kid has talent. He gets a handful of carries behind Ladainian Tomlinson and has maximized those carries, averaging six yards per carry in his short career. If Turner continues to have success in his current role, it wonít be long before teams start thinking about making an offer come free agency. With his expanded role in San Diego this season, it shouldnít surprise anyone to see Turner sign elsewhere, but the Chargers may look to keep their dangerous rushing combo together.
    I agree and I disagree...

Turner would be a great pick-up for us, but I don't think he's much of a secret to the rest of the nfl. I don't think there's anyway the Chargers are able to hold on to Turner. Someone (if not the Broncos) is going to sign him to a starting RB offer sheet. Then it's up to SD if they want to match the offer by paying starter money to a backup.

your right someone will pay turner to be a starter hopefully not us because all he has proven to be is a backup he hasnt proven a thing 66 caries in a season and everyone wants him

    whats his durability?
whats he like against a fresh d?
whats he like in our zone blocking?

too many questions to pay him top dollar when you can get a back in the draft or keep the bell in the backfield and let mike be the starter and tatum come off the bench again because as of right now i see turner just like tatum great a taking advantage of a worn out d

    Possible Free Agent targets:

    Vonnie Holliday UFA Miami
    Robaire Smith UFA Tennessee
    Hollis Thomas UFA New Orleans

I think that possibly takes care of the DT problem for now. No need to draft a DT in the first round if Shanny picks up one of the above.

    Asante Samuel UFA New England

If not too expensive would be good fit to play opposite Champ Bailey, unless of course Shanny thinks Foxy can fit in.

Now depending on what Rod Smith decides to do, if he retires, then Denver will need to get a solid #2 or #3 WR in FA, and use a mid to late round pick on a WR.

    Drew Bennett UFA Tennessee
    Patrick Crayton RFA Dallas
    Mike Furrey UFA Detroit
    Eric Moulds UFA Houston

Finally for RB in FA. The pickings are slim to say the least. Anyone Denver signs, I believe it will be a 1 year deal, because of the RB's that will most likely come out in next years draft, that fit better in Broncos system then what is available early this year.

    Chris Brown UFA Tennessee
    Michael Turner RFA San Diego

Samuel's a ballhawk but he still gets toasted a lot. I'd tip Foxy to start, he's a very good player. Paymah's shown he's capable and so has Coxy (albeit at safety)

Elvon Millervil eat grues for breakfast.

    Pey-Pey to Bey-Bey for the Tey-Dey.

Yea Samuel isn't as good as his press clippings.

I was actually glad to see he didn't make the Pro Bowl.

    in my opinion i say...

the first thing the broncos need to do is get a serious pass rusher...

second position the broncos need to fill is the saftey position, becuase i don't know what the situation is going on with john and nick, but all i know is the broncos need a starting cover saftey...

other then that the broncos should re-build there o-line through the draft...thats the best way...

as for the runningback situation i don't think we need a runningback, we got tatum and mike bell and neither of them is going...mike is young stud...i know most of you don't like tatum becuase he played bad this year but he did have a turf toe injury...and a turf toe injury is not somthing that is there one week and not there the next...its a nagging injury that needs time to heal....as for his 3 fumbles in 3 games, he's somehow going back to his running style in college which was he was running too high of the ground...

and may i add the 49ers fumble was'nt 100% his fault, he did fall on the ball and had the ball under him and walt came and took it from him
