    R.I.P. Damien Nash

    This is just so grim.

It is very sad having to come to these boards and seeing two "in memoriam" threads.

I would like to say my prayers go out to their family.

Also Darrent and Nash are up there together now. As brothers. Makes me feel oka inside knowing them two Broncos are up there together.

    R.I.P. Bronco brothers, R.I.P.

Damien Nash was signed to the practice squad in the 2006 season. During the 2006 pre-season, when Nash was given the chance to grab the ball, he showed real flashes of power and the down hill running the Broncos covet. Due to his and rookie Cedric Cobbs inspired pre-season play, and Dayne's nagging toe injury, Dayne was let go. Nash was 4th on the depth chart for the Broncos at HB for the early part of the season, but after Cobbs suffered an ankle injury he was propelled into the #3 spot on the roster.

After Tatum Bell was forced to take a few games off because of his turf toe injuries, Damien Nash stepped up and offered a power running option for the Broncos through 3 games. His best game against the stout SD defense, Nash pounded out 10 carries for 52 yards.

It is such a tragedy when people that young and that promising die. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Hey JC... Rivers_owns here.. Cool of you to come over and express your condolences.

You Bronco fans are just so unlucky.. If this happened to the Chargers I wouldn't be able to cope.

    Soldier on guys!

    Bless You Nash

It is indeed a tragedy to lose a human being so young. It is even more touching to the Bronco family as this is the second one in less than 2 months. However, look at the way in which he went. He died doing something special for others. Playing in and hosting a charity event. Can't really ask for a more noble passing. May his family find solace in that fact!
