Anyone that AVG. over 4 yards a carry is good enuff for me, he shouls have had 1400 to 1500 yards last year if he would have played all 16 games!!!
I trully think he will be a 1,500 yard back for us.

A lot of you guys are missing it here talking speed. Tatum might be faster than the freaking flash and when he gets away, he's gone for good....BUT he's also a sissy who dances at the line, misses tons of holes and fumbles...3 strikes and he's out.

In 6 years (4 or 5 at least on mediocre to shi tay teams) Henry runs for 4.1 a carry. To me that screams 1200 yards and 8 scores easy! If he hits the holes as hard as some are saying and holds the ball tightly, we're looking at 1500 and double-digit scores for sure......

McGahee at least had a chance to be better than just another Gary/Anderson/Droughns/Bell.....you can now add Travis Henry to that list of pretty good players. But he'll never be a franchise type of back!

Let's just hope he's better than Lamont Jordan....

How many jobs has Henry lost in his career?

A lot of people here thought Shanahan had had enough and wanted that special back again....We were wrong!

sometimes you have to take what's available-- you're complaining about 12 mil guaranteed-- spread over five years mind you, the titans owed him that 8 mil for ONE year-- well, mcgahee and rosenprick were probably asking for waaaaay more than that. . . .

anyways, time to set the terms for our little sig bet-- let's see what you think of these. . . IF he is healthy enough to play in at least 14 games (bet is off if he gets hurt, i'll never bet on any NFL player staying healthy), i say he gets over 1300 yards and 12 touchdowns-- in other words, the best season for a broncos back since clinton portis was here. . . sound fair?

whoever wins gets half a dozen CPs (total points) from the loser, and gets to add whatever they want to the loser's sig for a month. . . for example, when henry lights it up for us, you'll be sporting a sig that says "i got schooled by dogfish, and all i got was this stupid T-shirt!". . . . how's that sound to you?

Not trying to rain on your parade, but I do have just one quick thought,
    Tatum Bell averaged 4.9 ypc

Now don't get me wrong I like the signing of Travis Henry, and I think he should be good for 1200 + yards this coming year. But he is not without baggage, and he's only once in his career played in all 16 games.

He should be pretty damn good here though.
God Bless D. Williams and D. Nash. May their family and friends find peace in knowing that they were both truly loved by all. And they shall never be forgotten.

Travis Henry is not the real deal. Instead he is an overpayed, short term solution, fumble and injury prone running back with off field issues. Don't accuse me of unfairly hating on the Broncos and don't tell me that I should find a new team. If I'm wrong on this and Henry turns out to be a huge success, than you can call me out on this one. I think we as fans have the right to question the teams decisions and in this case I feel that we made a mistake.

Um... how is he fumble and injury prone?

His off the field issues are no worse than those of Mike Anderson...

He coughed the ball up 11 times in ' 02 and 8 times in '03, the only two seasons in which he's had over 300 attempts

Henry hasn't been a premiere running back since those seasons

He may have had a lot of fumbles several years ago, but backs can improve...take Tiki Barber for instance. I think that 270 carries last year with only 3 fumbles (1 lost) is on par w/ Barber last year even. Regarding yards, 1211 yards in 14 games last year, on the Titans (not a notoriously good running game), is pretty darn good...I can't remember where I saw it, but I think TB and TH 0-40 times are within 0.05 seconds of each other, so not sure why people are saying he's so slow....

Henry could be more proven than Mcgahee if you think about it, better production this year, with just as bad of a line.. and while Henry is a fresh 28 years of age having 2 years with only carrying the ball less than 90 times, he also has 3 1000+ yard seasons... if he stays clean GREAT MOVE!

Henry will be a great weapon for Cutler and our offense.

Im stoked about landing Henry. He is a workhorse back who is going to excell behind our line, look what he did last year behind a triple A line. This guy is going to add stability to our running back position, something we have lacked for a while. Henry has been in the trenches and hopefully will be an option on 3rd and 4 etc.

He's gonna take some pressure off Cutler which is why I think this is a really good move, better than putting a first round rookie in there with Mike Bell. Look at what Vince Young did last year when Henry was his RB. Who else was on that offense, Bo Scaife????

No it isn't! Both Peterson and Lynch are far better than Henry, imo! And they don't come with a strike against them!

It's good that your stoked about the Henry signing...But if Denver could have gotten one of these two they probably would have!

They never gave Anderson 12 mil guaranteed either. Nor should they have.

Neither one of those players has ever played a down of pro ball, Peterson has an injury history and Lynch faces domestic battery charges. If those arent strikes I dont know what are. Why do you point out Henry's strikes will omitting the strikes against the players you like?

I bet you that the Broncos have language in the contract that gives them some insurance against Henry if he is suspended for a year, so that strike is essentially negated.
