mccalister is good and we have very good ones in the leauge, in the past i would have to say mccalister, but for the future i would have to say dre' bly. him and champ together i think will make history, their duo is going to be a phenomenom! or however

I'll throw Rashean Mathis and Deangelo Hall out there. Mathis has had a bunch of picks the last few years, and Hall is probably the next most talented to Champ, but his career doesn't back that up yet.

    Asante Samuel.

Samuel was playing at an elite level throughout the entire playoffs last year, and I believe he will only get better.

Hall is overrated and got work all last season.

Hands down... and I hate to say this. Asomugha on the Raiders.

After asomugha it goes Terrence newman

mcallister is damn good, but i might have to go with terence newman-- he doesn't put up the big interception numbers, but he's got excellent coverage skills, is a solid tackler, and contributes in the return game. . . antione winfield is another excellent corner, although i don't think he fits all that well in the cover-2 minnesota runs now. . . hall is talented, but i think he's somewhat over-rated. . . i do think rashean mathis belongs in the conversation as well. . . .

rest in peace, darrent williams and damien nash-- you will be missed!!

He's done it for one year. Let's wait to see if he can do it for more than one year before we start proclaiming him a great corner.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

    There's two elite guys:
    Champ Bailey
    Asante Samuel

Although, the gap between Champ and Asante is HUGE.

    Then there's the great guys:
    DeAngelo Hall
    Nate Clements
    Nnamdi Asomugha
    Rashean Mathis
    Lito Sheppard
    Terrance Newman
    Chris McAlister
Pac-Man Jones would be here if he wasn't a retard

Then there's the damn solid guys:
    Dre Bly
    Ronde Barber
    Mike McKenzie
    Dunta Robinson
    Chris Gamble
    Pat Surtain
    Charles Tillman
    Al Harris
    Sheldon Brown
    Antonie Winfield
    Charles Woodson
    Shawn Springs
    Gary Baxter(When healthy)
    Deltha O'Neal
    Samari Rolle
    Ike Taylor
    Fabian Washington

Then the rest are pretty much not even worth mentioning with these names.

Almost every team has at least a solid corner though.

EDIT : Added Woodson and Winfield to this list

I was waiting for someone to throwup deltas name.

But then we all know no matter how many good plays he makes he gives them back shortly thereafter.

Samuel is overrated. Yes, he had 10 picks last year and that is one hell of an accomplishment. But he isn't top 5 in my book.

    Champ
    Newman
    McCallister
    Hall
    Mathis/Clements

Nnamdi Asomugha still has to prove a lot, but he could potentially make this list very soon. I think Deangelo Hall will develop into a more consistant player, and he makes the list on talent alone. The others are pretty self explanatory
