Um I took foxworth atvin yesterday and I promise you hes close to 6 feet, as far as bashing on him shows how classless you really are. He has been an upstanding player and citizen for the denver community. As for me I hope he gets a chance to start and show his ability which will be next year when we cut bly loose for cap reasons.

first of all. he's 5'11. 2nd Foxworth was better than Williams imo, no disrespect. he's a good tackler, good cover skills. there's room to improve no doubt, but he can be a #2 cb on plenty of other teams in the leauge

Yeah, the Broncos outta cut the bum!

It must be frustrating going through life with such a negative outlook on everything!

even good corners need some help from the pass rush from time to time, and for the most part he's held up quite well for us with little to none. . . i think you're still holding the pittsburgh game against him. . .
Just like everyone blamed Jake for that loss, DF had a huge part in it along with the rest of the defense.

But he does not have the speed to stay with WR's so he lays off way to much and they do/can throw underneath on him all day. When or IF he cheats up they will fake him out of his shoes and go deep.

If you wish to beleive he can start for most NFL teams go ahead and be delusional. Perhaps he is a starting CB quality but from what I have seen it would not be an elite team. If he leaves almost any other fa could easily fill the slot, for that matter a mid to low round draft choice.

When a "talented" CB can not beat out the Drafted KR specialist that is 5'8" that has to speak volumes. I still remember mickey press conference about who he thought would do what and when. DW as the KR, DF and Paymah as CB with paymah being the more talented one.

On top of that he saw alot of time as disaster SS, sounds to me "jack of all trades master of none" to me. a good utility guy that will be doomed to special teams and nickle or dime forever.

Let me restate it since several of Y'all did not understand it.

He could not beat a 5'8" KR specialist (drafted as such) or bly a 5'8" CB we traded for because mikey knew what foxworth could or could not do.

I'll guess that either him or payhma will be gone after TC, afterall the third TC are the traditional cutting time of deadwood from mikeys DAFTING.

I will leave the boards if either Foxworth or Paymah are cut this year, and send you a check for 500 dollars.

Bottom line... anyone who thinks Foxworth is better then Bly is stupid!!!!! why in the h*** would anyone say by mid-season Foxworth will take Bly's spot, or Bly will be cut next year for Foxworth? That is the dumbest thing I have heard on these threads ever!!!! If Darrent Williams was still alive he would still be the number two guy and Foxworth would still be three, so on what team do you think he could go and be a legit starter? He is a decent cover guy with decent speed. He will always just be ok. Even if he goes to another team he will never be a prime time starter and will never have the career Bly has. So to say he is better just baffles me. If he is that good dont you think Shanny would have gave him a try instead of getting Bly. If he was a legit second guy then we would have kept him and maybe drafted a younger corner to play nickel. I say let him go somewhere else and show everyone that he can't handle being a one or two everyday starter.

    Your dead on this post

Everyone forgets that Mikey went after bly as soon as he could, no hesitation.

If he thought for a minute foxworth was all that good he would have saved alot of cap room this year and kept him on.

The sheer stupidity of some fans is beyond my comprehension.

Almost as bad as the dayne fans of yesteryear.

I had the idea before or during the draft of trading him to the Texans (Kubiak) for a 4th rounder and a player, i cant remember now, dammit! Anyways everyone said NO!NO!NO! We have to KEEP him!! HE did suck in the game against PITT,but you cant just blame him! Also i think he could start for a couple of teams, but not all of them! Which is why i wanted to use that pick on a Safety, and let him go to a team where he would actually have some experience and a coach that would let him play. Oh well!

Is he a cousin or something?

Because trust me he is not all that great or 17 others would not have been taken before him in that draft.

i dont understand why everyon is on this guys ***K! This is his third year in the league and his third year as a third teamer. the only reason he played alot of downs last year is because we couldn't find anyone to play a decent safety. Which he didn't do that well either. Now that we get Bly in the mix and Fergy is back then why NOW is everyone so interested in Foxworth? I agree if someone wants to say he is a good nickel guy but that is as far as it goes. JRWIZ is exactly right is this guy related to all of you because that is the only reason I can see that you put him above Dre Bly!!!!!

I think he is WAY too cocky. I think there is a reason we went after Dre Bly. Because Domonique was getting torched by #2's every week.

I love Foxy, I want him to play his entire career with us... But you guys are acting like this guy is a prime CB in the L right now. Not really. He is a great nickel back, but if we didn't have Dre Bly I would be a lot less confident going into this season. Foxy needs to slow his role.

He is a great person and a role model for the community, but as a player in the NFL, he is not as good as he thinks he is, same with some of you guys.

For awhile there I thought I was the only one seeing him get beat like a rented mule when playing against quality WR and Qb's
