Haven't read the books, but it's easy to notice how the story is driven by strong female characters. One of my new favorites is Theon's sister. A little girl with her fathers ambitions for her absent brothers forced upon her. She's a complete bad a$$. She has a smug confidence to her that I find attractive in women. It's this uncommon fortitude that is common in the female characters of this story which makes them all great. Also, the casting for this show is incredible.

Lots of changes from the books in last night's episode. The only one I'm unsure of and curious to see how they play it out is the last one... involving Dany and her dragons.
The Arya, Littlefinger, Tywin scene was great even though it didn't happen in the book. I knew she wasn't going to get caught, but it still had me on the edge of my seat. Good stuff.
And, Theon... that sorry fool. But, we finally got the scene with Theon kicking a recently decapitated head... it just wasn't the same head he kicked... oh, and it was 15 episodes too late. Oh well, great episode nonetheless.
Thought this was funny:

I'm not a SanSan shipper, but one thing that I keep thinking about is when Sandor comes in and rescues his "little bird". Pure nonchalant badassery.Winter is Coming!

yeah, MNG I am not sure about the stolen dragons part. My guess is that they were taken to the house of the undying-perhaps that is what that tall cylindrical building was? Why they would do this I do not know. It will be interesting to see.
Agreeed about Osha!
Man oh man- first time I saw her I was like ehh shes alright, and thought she was kind of fat. But she turned out to have a great body- well done Osha, well done indeed.
Also interesting how they did the part with littlefinger, arya and tywin-like MNG said.So far:

Why? (highlight below text for semi-spoilerish explanation)
They have to get Dany to the House of the Undying with at least one dragon. In the book it was Drogon; and I always thought it was a little strange that she took him there. Well, now the reason why she's going is to get her dragons, and they'll be there, and they (and Dany) will not be happy. What I'm most interested in seeing there is if they'll include her visions - most importantly Rhaegar and "his is the Song of Ice & Fire" line.Winter is Coming!

[QUOTE=Mount-n-Groan;4423082]Yep, it was most definitely Pyat Pree, and it would follow that that building/tower is the House of the Undying.

I put my potential spoilers in yours above. And what about the other two escorts, without giving anything away, the green dreamer and frog hunter? How exactly is that going to play out.
PS- i have my timline mixed up because I read them both together non stop, but the unsullied, was that book 2 or 3? I was just wondering if we are going to get the unsullied this year or next?So far:

My spoilers:
Nice, and I suppose by him taking them there that it makes it easier to follow as to why she went in with drogon. I would be surprised if they did not have the "the vision" in there. I thought it was important and shows how bad ass she/things can get. Now we dont know until GRRM finishes the books but i still think she crosses and does what a lot of people think. Protects the kingdoms from the white walkers instead of conquering them. This next episode should be real good if they keep in line with the book. I cant wait for her and her dragons (since they are all there) to go ape sh&$ on the ghosts at the table. Should be really cool.

Another thing the show seems to have left out is the red comet in the sky....It was there in the first episode or two but now its all gone. I would have liked to have seen them put it in just a glance in a few more of the episodes. Maybe someone pointing to it or speaking of it or something else.So far:

Oh, and the Unsullied = ASOS. And, I haven't heard whether Meera and Jojen will be in the show or not. Definitely not this season, but I suppose there could be an avenue of entry sometime next season. It does look like we'll get to see Ramsay Snow/Bolton though. That should be interesting.
I also heard an interesting theory regarding Ros. (No, not the one where the actress has compromising nude photos of GRRM and the show creators. ) Some believe that she will be used to play the role that Jeyne Poole plays later on. Remember, Jeyne Poole was not casted, and her role becomes somewhat important later on. That actually makes some sense to me.Winter is Coming!

Then all the sudden, you see that gauntlet and the big black boots, you know some **** is about to go down. I swear, I literally laughed out loud after he dispatched those dudes, then goes off with his little bird. He truly is The Hound.
He is pretty badass...
Not sure if you have read the books or not, but he became one of my favorite characters because he was so awesome! So far:
