Bunkley 1 tech and Warren 3 tech backed up by Thomas 1 tech and Vickerson 3 tech sounds like a decent rotation to me.

There's an NT and an UT in a typical 4-3. The NT is a "0' or "1" technique tackle, with the UT lining up as a "3"-"5", all depending on the defense of course.

I'd say M. Thomas and Bunkley. Bunkley NT and M. Thomas as UT.
I hate the Defenseless Receiver rule and the fines. Posted since '07. 2011 rule addition :nono: backhand a fool!

Vick should start over Warren. I think Vickerson is UNDERRATED. bigtime.

I agree, but you know Fox loves his Vets, and until Vickerson shows that, which he more than likely will, I think Warren gets the nod.

Overshifted 4-3: strong side 9, 3 (DE); weak side 1 (DT), 5 (DE)

Undershifted 4-3: strong side 9 (Sam), 5/7 (DE), 1 (DT); weak side 1 (DT), 5 (DE)

I for one, am pleasently suprised at how this defense is coming together.

Id give Vickerson a shot at DT and let Warren be the other tackle. Bunkleys solid, but vickerson did great at 3-4 DE and thats hard to play. I really like our d-line depth though.

We have spent almost nothing this off-season and we have improved a lot. We will still have trouble against the run if Bunkley and Warren do not return to form. We need to look to the draft next year - this rebuild is a couple years away and we are starting to look good for the future (outside of the Orton disaster).

Also, yes, the last defensive player to sport the double seven for the Broncos was in fact Karl Mecklenburg.
I'm pretty sure Thomas initially took 77 but eventually switched to 79 before the start of his first season.

Just saw this. Glad he showed up and is already being plugged in as the starter.

Also just some exciting off topic follow up tweets...

Both Tebow and Orton led 2nd and 1st team offenses, respectively, to touchdowns in the 2:00 drill period.
Julius Thomas ... Looking more and more like the real deal. Just had another TD catch.
Brady Quinn and the 3rd team offense don't get it done; Nate Irving intercepts Quinn at the goal line, closing the 2:00 drill period.
Curious to see TE depth chart when Fells & Rosario practice Thu. J.Thomas just had 2 rec. for 33 yds (incl a TD) w/ 1st team in 2:00 drill.
Matthew Willis has enjoyed a solid day so far. Just went up high to snag a sideline pass from Tebow. Must be the ninja training.

I believe the DP pretty much said the reason why Warren picked DEN was b/c of Fox, the money and I think the contract says he will start (if healthy). The article mentions something like that.

Running downs... Bunkely-Warren are our DTs.
